@ Judge-Jake

I know what you mean.
Here is Switzerland, we can't believe that normal intelligent Person does not recognize, that selling guns like this is stupide and just plain wrong on every level ;)
But we do truly understand why this is the case there.

And maybe if i did grow up there (and with guns so to speak), i would think different.
we've got our own problems here, so we are not better by any means.

I mean i could write books about building nuclear power plant, just to sell the power for $ to countries and not really need the power. And many ppl. here just don't get it why this is "wrong on every level" but that a other story ;)
anyhow, thx for the video :)

#3 No chance of the UK becoming like the US, you have already gone too far socialist and lost too many rights.
The right to protect your person and your family comes before all other freedoms and you don't even have that, do ya?

#5 What we do have Mr Gun Happy is less than a thousand gun related incidents per year compared to 100,000 in the USA. That's around 3 a day compared to 273 a day. I think I kinda prefer it our way. In the video above you get some inclement weather and everyone goes out and buys a new gun, over here we buy an umbrella. Well punk do you get it now, do ya? :*

I never understood the necessity to store guns at home. If you are a hunter, why not store them at your hunting club. From whom do you want to protect your family, if none has a gun? Get yourself a baseball bat behind the door, if you really feel the need to protect your home.

http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/homicide.htm

US population approx 330 million
Firearm homicides:2011
Number of deaths: 11,208
Deaths per 100,000 population: 3.5

According to the FBI, in 2012, there were 8,855 total firearm-related homicides in the US,
so the numbers are dropping. That is a decrease of about 22% from 2011 to 2012,and it
is still dropping.
The US cities with the most severe gun-control laws have the highest gun-related crime rates.
States and cities with open-carry and concealed-carry have the lowest rates.
Gang-on-gang deaths make up over 60% of gun-related deaths in large urban cities like
Chicago , Detroit and New Orleans.
I could go on but to no avail. You were raised being told guns are bad while I
was raised hunting and target shooting and seeing guns as useful tools.
Just ring us up again the next time some other country attacks ya'. ;)

Here we go again...gun laws..
#5 I think self protection is a global right..not a right to the ones who own a gun. As #8 said..a baseball bat at the door..sharp kitchen knifes..maybe a can of pepperspray in the pocket. We dont need an AK or a pumpgun at home in case "A wild taliban appears" or someone walks over my lawn. Protection from burglars? Most people havent been robbed by burglars that often that you need heavy weapons..most break in and steal when youre not home and run like roger rabbit if caught.
I see the need to own a gun in some areas..but thats no protection. If the burglar comes he might fire faster anyways.
Gun laws dont protect you from beeing robbed, but they prevent many problems that come with the right to buy any weapon with a "3 day background check"..you should got to have a good reason to be able to buy it. (Thats the case here)
If so paranoid why not also buy a nuclear rocket to be save from incomming asteroids?

Dont get me wrong..i love guns..i love shooting..as sport (as in shooting non living targets). But i really dont like the idea that every idiot around me can have or carry a gun for "protection"

#10 I don't live in France,Germany or England so I am not concerned about "a wild taliban" showing-up
at my door , but door-kicking home invaders strike quick and there is almost always two or three of
them together,so an 8 shot 12 ga.pump comes in real handy when you are outnumbered. These violent types
hope to get inside your house and subdue you so they can take their time doing to your family
whatever they feel like doing.
You confuse paranoia with responsible preparedness.
I do not need a nuclear rocket to keep me safe from asteroids....we have Bruce Willis for that. :D

ps George Washington didn't use his right to free speech to defeat the British....he shot them.
