when my little dog came to us, he pooed and let water, he bit through the telephone cable, he bit the corner of the couch and he needed attention whenever he wanted it. No chance of going to the toilet, without someone taking over. It was my first dog, and i probably made mistakes in raising him, but he turned out as the best dog in the world, enriching my life to a point i could never have imagined.
sure it's stressful at times, more in an early age, less later, but it's one of the most rewarding expierences you will come across.

I will never understand the mentality of anyone who could dump a dog. They have to be another species of human being. Surly it would haunt you for the rest of your life, or it should.
I remember walking along a lovely stream by the side of a wood with my family many years ago and making the decision to let our dog have a 'first' run free. Unclipping his lead whoosh he was gone and he didn't look back, right out of sight he went. It seemed like an eternity before he obviously panicked realising we couldn't see us and sensibly and luckily came back. That moment still haunts me now and every emotion like drowning went through my mind at the thought of losing our lovely dog.

#7 I think it is perfectly acceptable to compare a dog to a human child when it comes to care. If you are the sort of person who could treat a dog badly, beat it, leave it by the side of the road, turf it out of the house when you are bored with it. If that's the sort of person you are, then I for one wouldn't want to have you as a parent.

If everyone took as much care of each other as the dog took care of the doll, the world would be a better place!

#7 what makes a human child better then a dog? It shits and pisses on your stuff..and you need to feed it. Only thing a human child can do for you is pay for when youre old and its not even sure if your kid is sucessfull or care for you. Bring joy to life..a dog can do that too and he/she does care with all his heart.
