Chaos? This is called poverty and slums and how many people live in the 3rd world. A train’s eye view of the squalor and conditions that exist and that we, sadly as a modern world, allow to continue to exist. And also the creativity and ingenuity of the human spirit – one has to be impressed with the way some invent their own machines out of bits and bobs to use the rails for transport.

It seems chaotic to our Western eyes, but actually it is very controlled and predictable to the people there, I don't see any distress or fear in heir eyes, just another normal day in their lives.

It's like something out of Mad Max a nightmare. The worse thing is when you look at the young lad near the end scooting his carriage and then you look at the old man earlier on doing the same and you just know the first will become the second

#5 Also that, If someone in my town manages to walk even 1 feet to close to the tracks, there is an alarm, and the person is arrested. It is forbidden here for someone to walk next to the train tracks. Walking on the tracks is a $500 fine. No matter the reason. And it does not make the tracks saver.

#8, don't be kidding yourself, thinking this is not the same here too, I know this because my daughter took a romantic walk with her boyfriend on a wintry and snowy day on the railroad tracks in a rural area, they walked along the tracks as to not get lost because there was so much snow, cops saw them, stopped and handed them a citation with a hefty fine (forgot the amount) for walking on railroad property or something rather, they had to go to court to fight it, but lost. So yes, it is illegal in the US too, to walk on or alongside the tracks, at least in PA it is.
I'm sorry #9 you have trouble with your sound, hopefully someone could help you fix it. I would if I could, but unfortunately I know very little about this stuff. Not being able to access snotr properly is stressful.

#10 While railroad tracks and rail yards are property of the rail company and using them for travel is technically trespassing I have never known of it being actively enforced here in Virginia. All during my youth we used the tracks to take shortcuts on our bikes and spent whole days fishing from wooden railway trestles over creeks, ducking down to lower spots just in time to keep from getting hit by passing trains. No police ever showed up to tell us we had to move-on and no train engineers ever yelled down at us or alerted authorities.(and there was certainly no alarm going off if you got too close to the tracks or people being arrested)
I am sure you can find examples of people being ticketed for railway trespass but it seems to be rare.

Fair enough #11, but times have changed since back then and we were very shocked about the citation too, but they are very serious about this here in PA, because when I discussed this with others later on, everybody was very aware of this law except us, we were still partially new here then. Maybe VA is a little more relaxed about stuff like that.. PA needs to especially be more chill about their alcohol laws lol...
