LOVE that sound! Reminds me of an Uncle of mine who visited us once, the radio we had had stopped working my Uncle ( who was in the Royal Signals at the time ) took it apart, cleaned it all, then reassembled it..leaving a few parts out as he did so. It worked better than it had before. He made a 'hairbrush antenna' for it as well...it picked up stations we'd never heard of before!

The antenna was made from an upright piece of wood ( about 6 inches high ) Drilled out then a bunch of holes drilled in at 45 degrees along the vertical sides, copper wires were inserted, then a whole mass of solder poured down the vertical hole, then hooked up to the arial socket on the radio...it was awesome!

For you #2

Brenda Lee:

00:01 - 01:18 You can depend on me
02:16 - 02:48 I'm sorry..
03:00 - 03:30 Blue Velvet

Enjoy! :)

P.S.: really cool story #4, enjoyed reading it :)

Always funny to hear the Quebec accent on Snotr... Those radio stations he tunes in and out of are in Quebec, in the Montreal area.

The singer is Brenda Lee. Second song is 'I'm sorry". One of her biggest songs was "All alone Am I"

Brenda Lee is in her 70s, I believe and gave a concert in my area only a few years ago, which was apparently a great success..here the first one on the video "You can depend on me"

It's such a beautiful radio, I fell like the cd player is more out of place and time than the radio itself.
Very nice! <3
