I'm skeptical..maybe the Ballistic BBQ uses transglutaminase..I don't believe high end quality restaurants would do this, there is too much "at stake", (pun intended)..besides they get frequently inspected by the health department and if they ding you, you may be shut down..

#1 There are far more mid to low end restaurants out there than there are high end and these are the places that most people eat at. My guess would be that these are the places that need a 'steak' out! Buyer Beware!!

Good video, but I'm glad I don't live in america where everyone is trying to rip you off at every breath you take. I have never even heard of anyone doing this here in Norway.

#4 Well you wouldn't necessarily know would you! Plus it might not work so well with whale and seal meat

I would have no problem eating glued-together steak as long as it is cooked thoroughly
and tastes ok but I would like it to be my choice , not substituted without my knowledge.

#4 I am glad I live in a civilised country where the slaughtering of whales is prohibited.
Norwegian whalers are allowed to kill over a thousand Minke whales per year...sad.

Not that I am pro whaling by any means, but in case you didn't know, Norway is a civilized country #6, maybe in some ways more than the US, whose meat industry leaves a lot to be desired, and I'm talking about the pork and poultry industry where there are very few regulations, I won't go into details, because they are appalling. So while you eat your pork chops and fried chicken you need to rest your case.

If that's his idea of a cooked stake I'm just gonna puke.
When he cut it it was RAW MEAT! Only 1 millimeter was cooked, like an outside shell, the inside looked like it was still alive.
Why not bite a chunk out of a pig and be done with it?

#7 Countries all over the world raise domesticated cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, goats, etc for human consumption. All but about three countries have banned whaling for commercial purposes and Norway is one of them. To compare the beef and pork etc industries where tens of millions of those animals are raised for food to the taking of whales that only number in the thousands is idiotic. We can raise all the farm animals we need, but the only way to increase whale populations is to quit shooting exploding harpoons into them.
See the difference?
