I have watched the video several times and I don't really think he turned the wheels that much but you can see that the pickup hit him on his rear right, making his vehicle moving towards the truck.

#4 I think you're wrong and don't just assume driver behind is on the phone, we all know what happens when you ASS U ME things.

He seemed to break very hard for the turning, I'm not surprised he just got rear ended. Lucky to walk away really.

#6 It doesn't matter if he brakes sharply, the driver behind should of being paying attention. You can actually see he doesn't react until the very last second. He had a full 5 SECONDS from when the driver hit the brakes to avoid the accident!

Simply not paying attention.

My driving instructor learned me to touch the brakepedal so the brakelight flashes 2 seconds before hitting the brake at a speed like that. It could be he was going far to fast to brake to stop in a short distance. A lot of people need 2 seconds to react to a situation.

All you front driver fault bods, read your highway code. What if a child had stepped in front of the car? That's right he would have reacted even quicker on the break doing a ? ? ? come on, you all know what it is don't you? ? ? um um, you just don't want to say it out loud do you? It's an emergency stop isn't it! yes. And what does the highway code say about safe stopping distances?? Lets guess it's something along the lines of "It needs to be a safe distance from the car in from, JUST in case it stops suddenly" >:) Oh and by the way #10 very good I'm glad you listened to your instructor although he didn't 'learn' you he 'taught' you and you learned. ;)

look at the rear view image, you can see the pickup at a good distance when he stopped, the driver was just not with it, one of these on the phone or texting nobs or doing makeup, just driving like a dick.
