Reducing ....

to reach glory on snotr:

- make it work the way around
- install on a bike
- crash into water at full speed

Who gave this man a 3D printer? He is hooked on making gears with no purpose at all

Clearly he is quite insane :) At least he stays at home and doesn't bother anyone :)

He never answered the question... :S What would the practical application be?

Hook it up to a Dremel and crank it up to 30,000 rpm.

@ #7 A practical application would be to convert the high revs of an electric motor into the small movements in a robotic limb.

This has a perfect application as a gymnasium for bacteria and slow death by lethal injection death sentence device. Let me explain:-

Place your unfit couch potato bacteria on a tiny bacteria tread mill on the middle spool of this 11 million to one gearing reduction machine. Then get all the unsuccessful captured suicide bombers to turn the crank 11 million times each, before the next one takes over, then back to the back of the queue for their next stint. The now pumped up bacteria (or super bacteria as it could now be called) can be sucked up with a micro pipette and injected up the arse of the first suicide bomber who refuses to crank his 11000000. Simple >:)

fine tuning a telescope/laser

micro surgery ... could help robots drill more accurately/ build nano structures

reversing the gears ... wind power allows more effective power transfer at low speeds

pulley ... for extreme weights or where precision is needed
