Never saw one with a parachute --- then again, most of them disintegrate pretty early, so this one was absolutely successful.

This is part of a huge festival. It must be spectacular to be there.

#9 I think you mean altitude? ; since the rocket is not orbiting the earth,just trying for escape velocity. :D
