Reminds me of the times when we were teenagers and convinced tourist girls to have a naked swim at night. "dont be shy, it is totally dark anyway..." >:)

The noctiluca miliaris at my place had more of a green glow.

#5 it is bioluminescent plankton that glows when stimulated. It can be found in oceans around the globe. In the summer months it is quite common in the North Sea (where we went skinny dipping).
