Sounds cool the story of this guy, but on the other side imagine every body living this way. what the economy would do, the technological progress that people with "routine" manage to discover. If it's to ask me, I'd rather chose a such called "routine" driven life, knowing that by my work and resource management I assure myself a decent life, doesn't matter how you live your life, it still lasts about 70-80 years...(yeah, you might live longer but I bet you won't enjoy going to funerals of all your friends). The idea is just to live as you choose to live.

It took him a month and a half to say that?

#1I don't think he means that everyone should do this, nor is he saying that he will do this for ever, because that is not possible economically, but I think he is just doing it once to show how to "slow down" time by breaking from a routine and awaken your brain, and to become aware of it too. :)

#3 Agreed. And even if this realization happens later than sooner, at least it happens.

But I think the real tragedy is finding yourself playing this song to the moon when you're 66:

#3 Naw I think the whole World should down tools, get a bike and cycle over to Canada and see if we can create a Magnus effect, getting the earth to spin in a different funny way and see how many old people fall over. Then the country who has the most fallen over old people are on! like in Dobby and the rest of the world is then allowed to paint that nationality blue and stick pointy ears on to them and call them "You pointy eared blue fecker" and the new planetary structure is that the pointy blue eared feckers have to do all the work for 11 months until the competition is run again but this time everyone (including the pointy blue eared feckers) have to skate board over to Sweden, knock on the country and say "hey sweeds do you know you are a vegetable" and they have to pretend they don't know what you mean and just carry on having Swedish sex everywhere cos that's all they do in Sweden or is it Swindon? what ever somewhere boring. Amen :S
