I think at this near tragic moment a special mention should be given to the two poor barsteards who also crashed into a motorbike.

Why haven't they banned motorized vehicles at all?

#8 Now I understand, they are supposed to run all other competitors down
Seriously, looks like several of them can't estimate these situations. And they must never compromise the other bikers's race.

[I used to ride competitively] based on the sag cars in this race, this HAS to be a pro race, which means he absolutely did know how to take the turn. #13 Some riders take turns more aggressively than others to gain seconds or fractions of a second (if a rider is in a competitive position in the race and need to make up time).
#1 #2 #5 and #13 I'm almost positive that he had some sort of brake failure, he was moving at full speed and he lost control right before hitting the car because he pulled back on the handlebars, lifting his front tire up. TBH, that Porsche could have saved his life (I'm assuming he survived
) - professional racers die way too often when descending a mountain and some sort of failure (person or bike) sends them off the side. I hope he recovered.

For those who are wondering, he has a brocken pelvis, brocken ribs and a lung perforation. But no brocken spine, which is good news.
