The spider's wheel-shaped orb webs can range up to 30 square feet (2.8 square meters) in size, some of the largest in nature, and stretch over streams, rivers and small lakes up to 82 feet (25 meters) across.

Happy to hear I'm not the only one #3..I always take them outside, loosely in a towel if they are too big to touch..

#8 I don't mind them that much, the spiders, so I usually let them be, especially since they kill stink bugs which seem to be a problem in PA...you may not have them in VA.
