What i had in mind while watching the vid was the endless posibilitys to make interactive board games. Maybe someone remembers Warhammer 40k ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000 )
You had to build your own tabletop map etc. With this you could have a foldable ping pong table, bag of sand and this software/camera/projector combination. Physically create your terrain, software will project the landscape. Now you got Whammer 40k with terraforming.
Or without sand on a blank board. Scan your figures (like a lego man) and with item recognition you can scan players and objects and create any boardgame that is..or invent new ones. Endless possibilitys for game designers.

This is sooo cool, it's really a teaching tool for kids to learn about the concept of topography, love this..disagree #1, I think it's better to have kids play with it, because they are spontaneous and creative....04:35 looked like Crater Lake, Oregon...
Really great video Kopi!

The science center in St. Louis has free entry and has a box like this. SADLY, it's constantly ringed by children, so you can't try to make any actual continents. Their tiny hands are just too curious.
