It's really cool to think about how certain creatures cant really perceive the idea of a mirror reflecting a copy of themselves.

Do you think humans are in the same boat, where we are unable to perceive something so simple on a larger scale?

#1 humans and most animals are on the same boat till some young age where they become self-aware and recognize their selfs in the mirror.

some animals like this spider will never leave that boat. some people i've seen i would swear they don't want to leave that boat.

but more direct to your question: i hope not. we as individuals might not be able to perceive somethings on larger scale, but we as group sharing knowledge and experience, we just need a common incentive to achieve anything.

I thought the spider was really adorable, and yes, he was looking behind the mirror #3, which amazed me the most.
