A Magician Never Shows You How A Trick Is Done, Unless They're Penn & Teller
Penn & Teller are two of the most famous magicians in the world. By combining humor, technical skill, and an irreverent respect for the world of magic the duo has built an entertainment empire. In this clip from the "Jonathan Ross Show," that sense of irreverent respect for the art of magic is on full display.

I love magic tricks and this one is lovely. Team work, misdirection at its best, well planned and executed. Problem is. One step at a time, we are eating away at the mystery with the reveals. Sometimes it's just fun not to know what is going on. Being completely confused and amazed is what makes magic great.

I stopped watching these guys after the Manhattan tongue incident when Tella became mute.

#4 Are you sure I thought it was irreversible. Yeah it was 1993 or 4 as I remember Penn was devastated and blamed himself but it was found that someone had switched props and the scissors were real. I'm sure there is a video somewhere as it was recorded live, The Manhattan Reknolp centre East side.

Teller is only mute during the performance.
Even during the show, he'll talk to an audience volunteer, such as when he does the water/coin trick (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69ozgnv6idI). As chance would have it, when I took my parents to see them in Las Vegas in 2011, Teller picked out my mother from the audience to be the one holding the bowl (it was done with pennies, and she got to keep the bowl and pennies). He told her little things, like "take a bow" after the trick was done.
And as already demonstrated, he speaks quite well outside of a performance.
But having Penn do all the talking is a real stroke of genius, because Teller can convey without speech what some people can't do in an entire oration.

#6 OOOOUUU No No! He is quite mute, it is the magic and ventricality skills of Penn that gives him sound. I actually have his shrivelled up tongue in a presentation box brought at a magic circle fair from Jack the Rat knobs and weird stuff removed from magicians ltd. I also got David Copperfield right Testicle which he trapped in a box while practising the old Houdini three balls in a bag routein. Be worth an absolute fortune one day.
nuts tongues
