Pretty sure it was the presence of the guy with the camera that caused the cat to fall in the first place. Very impressive flight all the same. I wonder what the record is. :squirrel:

#5 this question was analysed by New Yorker vets with interesting results: The cats where most likely to get seriously injured or die when they fall from the 3rd to 5th floor. When falling from bigger heights they can use their body to glide on a cushion of air. This effect is maxed out by the 7th floor from which on additional height does not matter anymore. Recordholder in this study was a fall from the 32nd floor that resulted in a broken tooth and minor trauma to the lungs.

Our cat regularly slipped from our rooftop of over 4 floors high and never even flinched.. We used to joke about it having 90 or more lives...!!

Sadly it got run over by a truck at the age of about 18 yrs old... :-(
