Ah, the many manifestations of anxiety disorder. Sad that more are not this glamorous.

You know what? Good for him! It's what makes him happy, he's living his dream and he's not hurting anyone while doing so. Take a good look around you, I bet this guy is more satisfied with his life and way of living than most of us are. So who's actually the odd one out then? Hmmm?

My feeling here are that the forties are in the past for a reason. While it's a personal choice for this gentleman I think it's a waste of a life and I'm not in the least surprised that his Girlfriend (if she exists) wouldn't want to live like this.
Life now is far from perfect for a lot of people but why deny yourself the labour saving devices that are available if you can afford them. Do we assume he doesn't have a TV or the internet or an automatic washing machine, 1946 Britain was still on rationing for food, fuel etc does he eat by that restriction, it's all a bit silly. He's English so does he use the modern NHS when he gets ill? How does he get to places, does he have a car does he use public transport? Where does he buy his food, does he limit himself to 40's food products? What does he do at New year at midnight? Oh great it's 1946 again, lets hope it's no more exciting than last year, fecking hell.
You can have an interest in a period of the past without it taking over your life. But hey he's not hurting anyone.

#10 This man is committing his life to his true passion - I can not see what is so wrong about doing that.

There is nothing wrong with this. But the fact that it is on Snotr for comment means anyone can pass comment. If he wants to spend his life like this it's his prerogative just as it is mine to think it is a shite way to waste your life. nuts

I'm still partying like it's 1999, but I'll be in bed by 20:00.

His "partner" lives in another house 2:20. So his partner doesn't want to live with crazy, but likes crazy sex is my guess.
