#1 true, but that's just because he was closer to the screen and the distance of the other guy creates this perception. at least that's how it looks to me.

the fact that the hop hop hop guy doesn't have to get back on to his bike, seems like a little advantage to me.

No way, clear advantage and it'd be more clear if you could see more of the video ahead. He was off while the running guy was still getting on his bike then he still has to clip in before full power. Great job.

#3 Nope, rider 35 was long gone when hoppy got to the top and rider 22 was closing on hoppy. Clipless pedals are a snap to experienced riders and waste no time clipping-in.
