A Very Odd Mammal...The Lowland Streaked Tenrec

This weird animal is found in Madagascar. The Lowland Streaked Tenrec looks like a strange hybrid, but in fact it is its own species.
Have you ever heard of stridulation? It’s the term used when an animal produces sound by rubbing together body parts, like a cricket’s chirp. These tenrec are the only mammals that can do it,and no, human finger snapping doesn’t count.
