Not surprising. Good ol' Chicago...they have about the worst academic performance in the nation while their teachers have some of the highest salaries and benefit packages , not to mention the most corrupt political machine in the country.
Too many of the large urban inner city schools around the country have the same problem.

These are clearly cherry-picked responses but sadly these people are becoming the standard in much of the United States. Also, in my opinion, the last bit with the spelling of "eyes" had nothing to do with raw intelligence but was more of a psychological phenomenon due to the way the question was worded. I bet all of those people would have been able to read the word "eyes" otherwise.

If you spell E Y E S, thats spelling, so the question should be how it is pronounced ?
