#6 I think it can be, I thought I was recalling a video from 1 or 2 years ago that was in the news where part of the pavement of the road was ripped from lightning, but I can't find it.

In #2's link it looked like the bolt followed mole tunnels. I wish I could harness that power myself to get rid of some of those pesky critters . :D

#8 I don't think they followed mole tunnels (I could be wrong though ), but are just lightening tracks....I know this from someone that witnessed this in the Pine Barrens in Jersey.
