I'm sorry but this is awful. All I hear is some crazed angry parent just before he or she beats their child to death. I never want to hear this again and it's now playing in my head! Thanks whoever recommended this you Barsteward :|

This is just vulgar and obscene . To imagine a parent actually singing this to a child is horrible and not amusing at all.

#4 #5 Geez, where's the adults with a sense of humor on SNOTR these days. Obviously it's not a story you'd read to a child, it's for adult entertainment. Who the hell thinks just because someone listened to this song they'd go beat their kid. Such princesses.

I have to agree with #7, I love children and would be the last one to condone singing something like that to a child, come on guys, use your common sense, it's like a parody, nothing else, something you could hear/see on SNL, and I know many of you watch that..

#7#8 No one could ever accuse me of not having a sense of humour but this song is in really bad taste. I wonder if a parody song about a child dying of leukaemia would be acceptable to you or how about a breath in deeply song about the gas chambers in WW2 I'm sure that would be hilarious. Perhaps Child line ought to be contacted re having this crap as it's theme song. The point you are missing is that nothing stays within it's age recommendation these days, so kids will be singing this, some of which will undoubtedly grow up to be angry parents with this song in their repertoire. :|

#9 I do understand your frustration, and I by no means said I liked it, funny I thought it was because it was taking something to an extreme in a comical way. Some of those having had small children that won't sleep, remember the nights when you as a parent are ready to drop dead and your patience is waning d/t exhaustion..
This clip is not making fun at all of the child not sleeping, but of the parent and his frustration... parodies of a dying child or WWII atrocities is therefore not a logical comparison, and would be taking parody to a very inappropriate level anyways. It is hard for me to believe that you throw both of these in the same bucket. There is a huge difference.
And yes, you are right regarding age appropriate materials, but with internet access these days it is very hard to control..this video is harmless compared to what else is "out there" and being viewed by kids any age. Every step to more progress also comes with a price tag...and btw I did not down vote you because I still respect your view.

Wow, #9 comparing this silly song to WW2 gas chambers, princess indeed. I never understand folks going straight to WW2 gas chambers for arguments and comparisons, because fortunately comparisons to the Nazis are EXTREMELY rare. Usually only highly sensitive crazy women make arguments like that! LOL

Funny thing about humor, in order for it to be funny there has to be some truth to it, and anyone who has been a parent has felt the frustration of a kid not going to sleep. I agree the song is terrible musically and lyrically, but the basis of the song is damn funny and so far I haven't killed any of my children although according to you now that I've heard it, I won't be able to resist. >:)

BTW for the record, I like really tasteless jokes so if a joke about WWII atrocity is funny, I'll laugh heartily because we men have this ability to compartmentalize things. So on one hand laughing at a truly tasteless joke but also realizing it's one of the worst things humans have done to other humans and how sad of a time it was is not a problem.
