Looks to be early morning ,must be a German seal. If not that's a German's foot arriving with a towel

Foot, but no towel..

Not to be politically incorrect since that is such a bad thing these days, but in that case #4 I think it is an American seal, although vacation days are very sparse here.

#6. 2013 is the most recent data and it really suggest that such broad comparisons / stereotypes re nationalities and BMI may not be all that valid anymore. Europe and especially the UK has really closed the fat gap with the USA
Prevalence of obesity and overweight by country 2013
Among people 20 years and older. Prevalence of body-mass index of ≥25 kg/m2
Male Female Both Sexes Change 1980 to 2013 Both Sexes
France 56% 43% 49% 10%
Germany 64% 49% 57% 8%
Spain 62% 46% 54% 8%
UK 67% 57% 62% 13%
USA 71% 62% 66% 16%

#7 All I will say to the American/British comparison is that if that is correct the vast majority of British BMI excesses must stay indoors whereas the greater majority of the American BMI excesses display openly, because having spent a fair amount of my time in both countries I can absolutely assure you that the USA win's the fatty stakes hands down.

#7 I have pointed this out many times before ,the Brits are the fattest in Europe and are catching up with the US like we are in a race. It is a problem with affluent countries where lots of food is available and too many people are too busy to take the time to prepare good food at home so they eat fast food on the go.
Sorry #12 .....

#12 Now see that is what I have thought too, having been to Germany in the past and only seen an obese person on rare occasion (unless you said they hide behind doors) and here I see them on a daily basis, so frequently that it became the norm to my eyes, I don't even notice anymore how fat people here are. But Austin has statistics, which kind of overrides my empirical theory. But then, no offense Austin, we don't know what quality the statistics really are in that article...
