This has a rotor diameter of 126 meters, a total height of 198 meters, and can output 7.6 megawatts. For reference, about 76,000 100-watt light-bulbs or 38,000 computer systems would be needed to draw 7.6 megawatt.

I wonder what the blade-tip speed is when it is running at max capacity. In the States hundreds of raptors and vultures are killed by the high blade-tip speed of wind turbines.

#6 may i ask what you mean with "unpredictable power"? Nuclear fission was unpredictable power 60 years ago. That is just a windmill. Worst case is a storm, wings break off. No overpower to the grid. line just gets cut and it spins without producing power..whats so unpredictable compared to other sources?

#7 this is what he means http://www.aweo.org/windgrid.html . An electric grid is much more complex than you'd think and requires a complex Auto-Feedback loop in layman's terms. A high power consumer turning on will cause a drop in frequency that affects the whole grid and must be dealt with fast. The other way around, wind-farms cause fluctuations in the grid that other, more reliable sources will have to fix ( usually thermo or hydro) which may lead to an overall pollution that is higher than advertised.

Contrary to wind power, nuclear is very reliable, with a perfectly predictable power output and in all honestly it's a pity some countries abandon it just by "popular demand".
