The woman may have acted annoyingly by blocking the spot waiting inside the car, but that does not justify violating her personal rights by filming her and to pillory her over the internet. She is pissed off by the holier-than-thou attitude of the guy filming her, and rightly so, imho.

#1 Yes, those violations are the same(facepalm)...i bet she will do it again, that's the problem, she said "been there, done that".Filming her on the other hand is tottaly different, i bet the guy ,isnt filming randmon ppl all over the place 24/7.

#1 that is not "acting annoyingly" that is more like "i can park whenever i want", did you by any chance read the text at the beginning of the video? :)

this type of behavior deserves to be filmed and ridiculed ( also sent to the police, so she can get parking ticket ), and as #3 said, i don't think this guys is just filming random people around the clock

#5 I never wrote she wasn't a bitch, she probably is. But according to my sense of justice stripping people of their personal rights as retribution for a misdemeanor simply is inadequate, even if the person in question acts like an asshole. Being shamed like this on the internet can really mess up your life and unless she is a public figure there is no justification (public relevance/interest) for that. In most western countries the public release of such a video is unconstitutional.

In the US, it is perfectly legal to record someone in most situations as long as you are in a public area where there is no general preexisting expectation of privacy. (Yes on a public street, parking lot or park. No in a public restroom.) This lady chose to act like this in public. It was her choice to be shamed in public.

In Europe you can be recorded in public places as part of the scenery. The release of a video that exclusively focuses on an individual needs the person's consent, if there aren't any extreme circumstances.

Gosh..that lady is so wrong on many levels. They should have come over and ask her to move? No. She wasnt supposed to park there in first place. Cussing in front of the school, parents and kids? Very classy. Lucky her husband wasnt there? What does it mean? 2 things he can do..beat up a person who is right in front of the school or if he is a cop write the ticket himself. Dont know who you are? We know now..and still dont care.
"police will give you a ticket".."Been there..done that" very helpfull for your case
Get her kid out of the school because someone filmed you doing wrong? Go ahead and make life harder on your kid because youre not able to park a few footsteps away..good luck finding a new school.

In the US you could potentially run into trouble if you post the video with intent to humiliate or denigrate the person in some way or if you attempt to slander the individual. If you post the video simply to call the person out on their behavior, you cannot. I have had police officers here tell me many times to pull out my phone and record the person in situations similar to this.

#8 Ain't that black and white. Defamation is a term that might be used in a lawsuit for videos like this. And if she was in fact sitting in the car all the time, anyone could have honked the horn or something to signal that she was occupying a spot that was meant for someone else. Having an empty spot at all times at any given cost is stupid and a waste of space and energy, so if it can be used without harming or hindering the ones in questions, i see no harm in a quick stop at a handicap spot if its only for a few moments and the driver is ready to move if necessary. People being way to stuck up on laws and wanting to make some sort of point, or statement, can sometimes be the real problem, they tend to look to the rulebook before actually using common sense. And no, im not saying she was allowed to park there, by any means, but this video was not needed, and should and could have been resorted in a totally different manner. People should use common sense and stop being so stuck up when it comes to petty things.

#12 Im not in the position to say anything, since i dont know the american everyday life. But in this case it didnt seem to be like "stop for a second"..she was clearly parking there. If she just wanted to drop the kid she could have stopped on the sidewalk and let her kid out. If the kid she dropped out is the kid in the picture (wich looked ashamed on her mothers behave) then she is clearly old enough to walk a few meters from street to school alone.
Always think the other way too..what if you need that parking spot close to the entrance because of a wheelchair..and now have to wait or park elsewhere bcause of that lady. Would you also say its ok..got all time in the world till she comes back. Second of parking..minutes..hours..doesnt matter. There is a reason that exact parking spot got signs and big white bars painted on the ground. There is no excuse.

I wonder..do you have a home with a parking spot thats just for you? Imagine I would park there..would it be ok?

Videoing people in a public place is perfectly legal and called for in this instance. If a parent comes out of the school with a wheelchair-bound child and can't access the door to their vehicle because that obnoxious woman is parked in the loading area then she should be called out about it.I bet she is a recognized repeat offender. Maybe the police should be tipped off about her and come by the school in the afternoon.

#13 Nah, you putting words in my mouth now, and you're acting just like the "paragraph riders" that usually make such a big deal of something that could have been far less of a commotion. I'm not defending the woman if thats what you think, im more attacking the point of making such a big deal of it. Uploading it to the internet so everyone can see what a bad person she is? To many people are hiding behind cameras these days, just itching for a situation where they can get attention, and this one is one of them. If things can be sorted in manners and quietly, then thats the way it should be handled. She got pissed off cause she got caught red handed, its not unusal that people react like that when they did something wrong. The right thing of her should have been to apoligize and make sure she did her part. None of them did anything to make it less noisy, and THAT is the problem im addressing, peoples need to scream and make a fuzz out of anything that gets them some attention.
And how is this sort of public humiliation any different from what we did in the medieval times, having people strung up in public for everyone to see that "this person did bad!" We don't publish every single criminal in jail on the web do we?

Ah, Tennessee, home base of the white trash. As others have indicated, in American you can record in public without someone's consent with some exceptions especially when it comes to children but in general if you're within public view it's fair game.

Gotta love her parenting skills, F-and and S-ing/flipping the bird around presumably her daughter in the car as well as around other children. Nice work. Not sure why anyone above would defend this POS.

The bigger problem when it comes to schools is almost 100% of the parents take their kids to and from school, very few walk or ride their bikes like I did so it makes traffic and parking an absolute nightmare.

People like her is what's wrong with this world :|
I mean seriously, couldn't she just move the damned car and behave like a civilized person without making all this circus freak ? No, because if she could, she wouldn;t park the car there in the first place .
I am done, I am so done.

#1 He was taking a picture of a parked car, she is the one who stuck her head out so he can have a good look at it and she is the one that gave him "permission" to take a close up picture of her and her (I guess) daughter.
And as #5 said the "i can park whenever i want" attitude should be ridiculed and shown to people.

Wow...coming home to a very long conversation...sorry but this woman is so so wrong, parking or even waiting in disabled parking is a huge violation and deserves a huge citation...many, many years ago in college a friend of mine was late for class, parked in disabled parking and had a $55.00 citation on her window when she came back to her car and took it in stride, nowadays it would be much more....this woman is the epitome of white trash...also very much in agreement with #10, #13 and #18...

it blows my mind how obnoxious this woman is, but its even more confounding for people to think her rights to not be filmed, within the confines of the law, are worth defending.. If i knowingly went in a woman's bathroom, and some angry women filmed me, would you defend my right to not be filmed? I think not. Granted, that could be taken as a sexual type crime, but the fact remains, wrong is wrong.. If your not disabled you shouldn't be in a spot reserved for them.

Park your lazy ass in a proper spot and you wont have to worry about being filmed period, you inconsiderate, self righteous bitch.

Don't sit there and make life harder for handicapped ppl just bc your ignorant, self important ass, doesn't want to park 10 feet farther away.. Life is hard enough on people with real handicaps without bitches like this making it worse.

Oh wait, i answered my own question, she wasn't parking in the wrong, and she was justified in being pissed about being filmed over it, bc she is in-fact disabled, mentally

Seriously though, I think any way that this was handled she was going to be irate and in his face. Arrogant bullies who cant bully anymore get defensive when its pointed out how much of an arrogant bully they actually are
