Filmed from a specific angle it looks cool, but it neither is a hologram nor a 3D effect. It is a anamorphic projection on a transparent surface, that shows 4 independent images on all four sides of the construction. When viewed in stereovision it is a flat image, slanted towards the observer.

Its basically like a oooold toy my aunt had (over 15yr ago)..seach for Mirascope. Two bowls with mirror inside and any small object inside appears as 3D hologram on top of it. You can walk around it and see all sides of the object, but it only works on the human eye..cant fool a camera.
But to the naked eye it really looks like there is a real item on display that you could touch.
Amazing for kids..really cool for grown up kids.

EDIT
Here is an example of a small version with water inside...they come in different sizes..my aunt had one double the size.

That is a cool video #5, have never seen this before, still not sure how an object placed inside the bowls seems as to appear on top of it. Yes, it would make a nice toy and physics lesson for kids.

Making this stuff looks soooo easy on the video. Tried that myself... O dear! This is so hard to make. And my "piramid" looks like it was involved in a car crash :S
