Beautifully done...mind you, with a workshop like that ( For which I would sell my own mother ! ) I can't say I'm surprised at.

Beautiful craftsmanship agreed and the perfect gift for anyone who is annoyed with the persistent efforts by computer companies to make laptops lighter and thinner and easier to transport. And yes, birch is a lighter wood, but this whole concept still seems pretty incongruous and dare I say hipster-ish in its practicality.

Awesome workshop. But it didn't look like something where a professional works for living. More like a playground of a rich dude. And yes, i'm envious :)
IMO, the box for a laptop was a waste of time and good materials.

If a while later the laptop has a major problem and has to be replaced by a new one which is slightly larger because of constant model evolution... :S

You can tell the guy who uses this beautiful case. He's the one with the power adaptor cable hanging from his pocket. >:)

Even though my son-in-law makes beautiful things in his little 10ft X 10ft workshop, he would give everything for a workshop like this...great video!

#8 Son in law er. So at last we have a rough idea of how old you are not. Son in laws with workshops have to be at least 25. Allowing for under age pregnancies of yourself and daughter and the likely hood of your daughter marrying a guy several years older than herself, divided by pi and taking into account that you must be a Gemini, bouncing this off an Hitachi number cruncher taking the mean average and the fact that you have been making comments on Snotr longer than Snotr has been running even before the internet actually. Finally focusing my telescope into your bedroom window (yet again) I would say that you are 49. 8-) >:) :squirrel:

When they said wooden laptop case, I thought they meant they were going to take the innards of a laptop out of it's case and put it in a custom case. Nice box, but not nearly as impressive as what I was hoping this was going to be about.

#9 Hahahahah...this is too funny..I wished it was 49.. :O ..now I really narrowed it down for you again, JJ...but #11 is right, it's close, close enough, I guess and I do look like a spring chicken of 110 :( ...your comment is hilarious....in regard to the telescope in my bedroom window, I advise you to be aware that you may die of boredom :O , so don't say afterwards I didn't warn you :P ...oh and no need for factoring in underage pregnancies of either my daughter or me...okay, more than enough hints..might as well add my age to my snotr profile...actually I may just complete my profile all the way, so I get that one specific snotr achievement you can only get by completing the profile.. :* ;) :squirrel:

#13 Ahh, you can't fix it now, JJ...you can be both a "looking gentleman" you know ;). In about three weeks I will complete my profile and you are closer ;)...which brings me to my question: When are you going to complete your profile?

#14 Mss Thunders It can't have escaped your notice that I do a lot of unauthorised, unwanted and unappreciated undercover work for both the government and Snotr. Therefore much like any wordsmith with 00 status it would be unadvisable don't you think to divulge or profile myself out into the open.

My bottom could be at risk from Suxi and the rest of me by any sniper of lower standing that might wish to take a sneaky pop shot at me when sleeping or dribble some poison into my nasal cavity via a piece of cotton from a little hole drilled into the ceiling from the attic ( which reminds me I must go fill some of the earlier attack holes from last month).

JJ SSASP must remain an enigma, a day ninja, a night boffin, a fiddler and twiddler of twilight tunes, writer of wrongs antagonist of Suxi protector of all that is good and the nightmare on Elmstreet of those who do wrong no matter how big their weapons.

JJ SSASP >:) :squirrel:

#16 Sucky one, I am an admirer of your stupidity and have made a space on a shelf in the museum of peculiarities in my laboratory, you will be neatly placed in alphabetical order pickled in a jar between a two headed rabid Rhino beetle and Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu jr's Butt, which has been bequeathed in his will.

#19 I am not looking up in my admiration of your stupidity I am admiring it in a very downward scientific plonker in a lab bottle kind of way, the way one might admire a puppy for not falling into a bucket of frogs. :(|)

#20 I guess you don't understand that admiring stupidity in general is just stupid in of itself. Congratulations, here's your sign. :D
