The rear wheel's parking brake has to be set for this to work.

#6 Same thing but set with a foot pedal instead of handbrake lever.
I do wish all vehicles used the lever instead of the foot operated pedal.

Strange that some do not understand that the parking brake on many vehicles is foot activated instead of with a hand lever. I don't which type that car has but the end result is the same.

I use it often in winter/on slippery road to save some parking time. But I guess the reverse with wheels turned right would be safer (at least on slippery road - front wheels can pull the rear axle even when fully blocked depending on car, but can't push against it so the car can't move back in a way it can move forward (and hit the car in front) like in this video).
