Half A River Falls Into This Hole, And No One Knows Where It Goes

The Brule River hits a waterfall in Minnesota. Half of it does totally normal waterfall stuff and the other half falls into The Devil's Kettle, never to be seen again.

Maybe they could start upriver to divert the flow going into the hole and have it added to the waterfall-flow so that the hole could be explored. That seems easy enough. ;)

So...block that part of the river, give it say 6 months, then send a team of cave explorers down...see what they can find out!

Since the hole is not filling up then I would guess that the water is swiftly moving on down its way and would be gone in a matter of hours so the cave could be explored right away.
