The perfect symphony of aero- and fluid dynamics displayed in this video made my jaw drop. I would have thought a bird would make itself as streamlined as possible for the dive. Instead it maximizes the surface tension and creates a slingshot effect to pop right out again.

#1 I fully intend to get at least one fecking video shown on Snotr in 2016, if not I'm leaving and never ever coming back. Come to think of it there are at least THREE of mine outstanding now. I am also going to continue with my plan to live forever, so far so good. :D

I thought it was interesting to watch the bird's nictitating eyelids work going in and out of the water.
Kingfishers are shallow-diving birds and use their wings to control the depth they dive to by opening them as they make contact with the water.

#5 As I suggested before if you would stop submitting all this porn and stick to family friendly material, your videos would probably get posted.. >:) That should be your New Year's resolution... ;)
