The arrogant dispatcher got his panties all in a wad over the frantic woman's use of a cuss word and just tuned her out. He should be brought up on charges for his actions.

#6 At least, according to the first link, the dispatchers attitude didn't change the outcome of the situation as he had already called an ambulance to the scene. At first i thought he just hung up and did nothing. It's still bad but far from as bad as i thought it was.

#8 If that comment was for me then yes i am serious. Certainly there needs to be some sort of action taken like getting fired, maybe even fined on top of that. But jail time for that is too severe in my opinion. Had he not called help for the boy then absolutely jail time for him. But him hanging up didn't change the fate of the boy. The ambulance arrived 4 minutes later i believe it was so he had call it to the scene right away and help was imminent. Trust me when i had just seen the video and that was all i had to base my feelings on then i was also voting for jail for him but now it is just a Little over the top for me.

Regardless whether he dispatched ambulance and paramedics, he needed to stay in telephone contact with the 911 caller for support until the arrival of the first responders. Ass fired!

The most shocking part is this happens all over the world on a regular basis. I guess the real problem is that they don't get paid to care, so they're just doing their job, or barely in this case.

#10 once again a message where i don't know if it was aimed at me but if......then that's exactly what i said. Of course he has to stay in contact with the caller and he should be fired for not doing so.

So the title is misleading, ambulance was dispatched but didn't make it in time to save the boy.

Bull- you're reading too much into it!

"Civil Servants" really need to be reminded their servants, get off your high horse. This was not someone calling in about a tagging of a building, this was super stressful for the woman, obviously the young man was on the doorstep of death, he needs to grow a pair and deal with it without being a drama queen.
