This was one of the well known and tragic events in American history and I didn't know about it for two weeks. I was in basic training in Oklahoma and we were not allowed TV, radio, newspapers or phone calls at that time. The only reason I found out was that a Drill Sergeant let it slip one day while we were sitting and eating on a firing range.

There is interesting movie about it if anyone cares to learn what happen. Richard Feynman was involved in an investigation, a man behind quantum physics among other things.
I love how they showed what scientists and scientific method does to plots, conspiracies and political games.

One, of those Kennedy being shot, Elvis dying, Princess Diana dying, Twin tower moments that you never forget if you were alive to experience it. Makes you wonder what the next one's will be. My guess and I hope I'm wrong will be some idiot with a nuke.
