Hmm...strong Bavarian dialect...something like "Des geht ja goa net, eh" could mean "this does not break at all"...in the background someone making a comment, like "...totally, only the gable is still intact, but even that is partially..."

#7 The dialect is Eastern German. My guess is Saxony.
Like "Alter Verwalter!" (rough translation someting like "f..k me sideways!" or any other generic phrase),"Des geht ja goa ni, eh" is more an exclamation of awe and surprise, than anything else. I would think the whole building was up for demolition, but no one expected that it would be that easy.

#7. It is definitely Bavarian dialect, agreed. The first bit ‘Alter verwalter’ is really two parts IMHO, the first word is colloquial for ‘dude’ and the 2nd word makes no sense. The whole things is just an expression of surprise. Dude!! The next full sentence ‘alter das geht ja gor net eh’ (I think this is it) literally translates to ‘Dude it is not how is should work (or) not how it should be’. Again – shock at how quickly it collapsed. This is my rough translation for what it is worth.

#9 It is definitely NO bavarian dialect. Sounds like North Brandenburg to me.
No Bavarian would ever say "Alter Verwalter" in that tone, that's slang from the Berlin area.

#10 Show your sources, JJ
#11 Yeah, you're probably right, that Alter Verwalter really threw me off, had never heard that in the south before.
