#1 #2 , Well it seems the videos on his channel are not that popular, most of them are under 90K views. So in case they are monetizing their channel, they barely get a few dollars per video.
We have another video from him on Snotr (Don't remember where on Snotr) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dK_SEerPQo
At least that one looks kinda real to me. Hope this one is real as well, because you're right: people can be pretty big douche-bags when it comes to making money.

#1 The term "social experiment" and "staged click baiting hoax" have become interchangeable on YouTube because of the business practice of so called prank channels.
This particular prank channel's social experiments all show normal people behaving selfish and then this one unlikely candidate - a homeless veteran, a handicapped person... shows up and saves the day. Seems fishy to me...
Others of his prank clips contain obviously faked punches, so, yeah, don't expect this video to be any different, just because he posts the URL about veterans. With "please share to spread the message" he really means "please share to get me some clicks"
I hate seeing this shit on SNOTR, but on the other hand, if people watch it here, he cannot make money from his deception.

There are too many pranks, Someday someone does not react to a bad situation and ignores the 'bait', to avoid being in a prankster video. While it was a real swituation.
Also not reacting to a situation can get you end up in a video where they ridicule people not reacting to things.
