I laughed
Then i started thinking about it, and its amazing how people actually react to this. I mean, where did they think the meat came from in the first place? I've seen a pig slaughter, and its not very fun or pleasant to watch. But i tell you this, it gives me a lot more appreciation about the meat when i eat it, so i think everyone who eats meat should experience it once.
Really good prank tho, loved it

Ok i will start before everyone says it, yes people have a detachment from where food comes from and would probably not eat meat if it was killed in from of them but that effect would only last so long until we got used to it. Just look how the majority of the world gets their food. I personally have no problem eating meating as long as it is killed in a humane fashion.

#3 is right, we are very detached..if I had to kill my own meat, starting today I would be vegetarian....but I wanna be the one holding the piglet in the prank, because they are absolutely adorable

If you've grown up with butchering your own meat, I don't think it bothers you as much, because it becomes an everyday task, and you are also detached from it in another way..don't get me wrong, I am not criticizing it...just observing.. like #5 says, there is no true humane way...the humane vs. inhumane way is how livestock is kept.

#3 I have no problem eating meeting either, it's meat I have a problem with. Here is my tip for what it's worth:- If you are not prepared to see how your meat is killed and processed or you find yourself saying things like "If I had to kill it myself I would be vegetarian" Well just it! at least don't eat red meat it's been proven that it's not good for you and if you must eat it, limit your weekly quantity links to many illnesses. Try Quorn instead of chicken, honestly it is very, very similar with only a slightly different texture, try it three times and you'll wonder why you ever brought chicken.

OK...I haven't butchered pigs, but...I have chickens, ducks, rabbits...and a few others as well, but...like #3 says..if its done humanly then I'm OK with that, and there is no way on this Earth I'd ever let an animal suffer, but the reality of life is that we are carnivores...OK...I KNOW some are going to say that a vegetarian diet is almost as good...but 'almost' isn't good enough.

#7 Not sure what "Well just it!" means
...in fact your whole comment was slightly confusing, but of course, as always, still very enjoyable
..never heard of Quorn before, but know now...very interesting, I could see why you want us to eat it instead of chicken
..
I agree with #10, actually our organism has evolved to be omnivores (carnivores only eat meat), which has been proven by anthropologists by our dentition. A vegetarian or vegan diet will work, but is not the optimal nutrition for us.
