I wonder if this is a futuristic version of the musical road - you know, for those who don't need roads? (And who the hell built those power lines that way, without a pole where they meet? Can't possibly be according to code.)

That happens where there is not enough clearance between power lines. 10k or 25k transfer lines generate quite o a lot magnetic field. And maybe some weather effecting lines, and this is what you get. Awesome video to snotr. 8-)

#3 The magnetic field forms a closed loop around the cable. It cannot really attract another perpendicular straight cable. I bet there has been some accident further down the line that caused a loss of tension. In any case this is far from a safe design.
