#4 Yeah I'm glad to see you're happy that we fixed Snotr
Of course we monitor it. But it's a software RAID on really old hardware so the server had to go down to replace the disks. Our host had some problems with this as its old hardware that they inherited when they bought our old hosting company. This added a delay. And then after that there were some problems restoring the RAID which delayed it even more.

Frankly I had already forgot that you where down, because, when I don't know what to write in the url box, I automatically type snotr.com So - Great, that you like.. I don't know - hadn't gotten in a midlife crisis on which basis you shut down snotr, and like - said "fuck that"
Or my second version on why you went down - due to me posting a video link From Snotr - in the submit section - and that somehow magically breaks a site

What I like less than technical issues at snotr, facebook etc is my own addiction and dependence on it.

Geekster, can you tell us little about servers behind snotr?

#12 Yes Geekster I second that, tell us little! in fact tell us nothing at all and instead post some new video's before I get another hobby

So while fixing your pathetically old server with no hot swap bays, can you bump up the available throughput? I haven't been able to play a video in real time for over a year. The transfer speed from the server is always slower than the bit rate.

Turns out there is some security cam footage that caught the true reason for the RAID array failing: http://www.snotr.com/video/1259/This_is_how_websites_go_offline
