#1 The first time I saw a Nighthawk taking off from a master jet fighter base near where I live I thought a movie was being made with some futuristic-looking mock-up that didn't really exist. :) :O 8-)

It is was not that invisible: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_F-117A_shootdown
Said that, same airplane was involved in bombing civilian districts and later was shot down while. Another F-117 was damaged but managed to land outside of Serbia. That said, there is video of captured pilot on youtube and how he was treated with highest honor and respect even though he was involved in bombing civilians (and army as well). 10 years later, the pilot came back to Serbia to meet the guy who shot him down (a baker from a small Serbian village). The pilot was his guest, their families met and it just shows that ordinary people found on opposite sides in war can actually become friends. War is crap, all around the world.

#4 : you sould come here, we have a mixed military/civilian base. When you're waiting for your plane you see figther doing their training :) And like any other fighter pilot they like to showoff when they see a commercial plane on the ground haha.

#5 The pilot of the F-117A, Dale Zelko, was rescued by Air Force Special Operations the following morning. He was never captured by Serb forces as you stated. (your wiki link confirms that)
When the Serbian military set up operations in civilian areas they became targets and they do cause civilian casualties, which is one of the things that sucks about warfare.

#6 Sadly that "future plane" was retired in 2008. Entered service in 1983. 33 years ago. Now I feel old...

Sadly as I was bitten by a radio active bat when I was a child, I can only see in radar. So I wasn't able to watch this video :S
