I've been working with OR, Vive and other professional headsets for more than 2 years now. And i'm not really in line with this video.
It's not really true for trainings, because VR headset don't work on everyone. If you are transport or sea sick, you will have it faster. If you have some eye problems like strabismus it doesn't work.
Most of the sessions can't be longer than 30 min depending on the persons, mainly because the focus use causes headaches.
In the military we have simulations most in 200° projections that simulate a typical equipement or vehicule. VR isn't used this much, specially not for the airforce.
Globally it's a fun tool, it can be used for many things like teaching for example, but now augmented reality is really more efficient than VR. One of the most known solution to public are the Microsoft Hololens.
Anyway if you have the chance to try some Rift or HTC vive try it even if you can only stand for 10 min it's a nice experience
