this would be good if the quality wasnt so bad and if every hadnt done the same thing in primary school

Placing a ballon in extreme cold causes the rapid contraction of the contained gas as it cools. ItsSimple.

#5 The rapid return from sub-zero to room temperature causes the air inside the balloon to heat, thus returning to its original state. What is amazing is that the rapid cooling does not rupture the balloon, as thermoplastics are generally brittle at cold temperatures.

#6 i believe that the reason why the balloon was not ruptured is because it could be made of latex rubber (he he) which was probably cured using vulcanization (although not sure) which both strengthens and hardens the molecular bonds, forming cross links between the polymer chains. this allows the rubber to become deformed under stress, while enabling the rubber to return to its original shape once the stress is released.

#9 the point of vulcanization is to make the rubber stronger so that it can withstand stress without breakage, otherwise, it may rupture when it is blown up. it is likely that the balloon was able to withstand such harsh temperature changes without breakage because of vulcanization, but personally it was only a guess. you know there is such a thing as google or wikipedia, perhaps you should try it some time.
