Reminded me of:

But in all seriousness, it's a sad state of affairs:

#2 It's kinda sad really because when they do build new apartments it's for rich people. They just don't make any money making apartments for poor people or in this case homeless. In the end that's all there is... money and greed. Typical human nature. It's just going to get worse and worse with the years, overpopulation is not a joke and everyone will be affected by it more and more.

There's several things going on here with homelessness, barring the propaganda from the politicos. 1) is mental illness and the fact that you cannot lock people up against their will. Good enough, but for the poor saps that really need the assistance they're not going to get it. 2) some people just want to live off the grid. Venice Beach in CA is chocked full of vagrants that want to live oceanfront for free.
Downtown LA has a lot of homeless services, so much so it's a gigantic magnet for the homeless. Skid row used to be just that, Skid Row, now it's 50 square blocks. Most of the funds for the homeless go to the organizations, very little trickles down to their customers. Now the city of LA wants a special provision to raise $5 billion in taxes to care for the homeless, but there again very little will get down to the needy. It's not about the homeless, it's about the $$.
I feel for them, but I don't want crazy homeless people living around me and my family putting our lives at risk, so what's the answer?

#5 Answer: Crazy homeless people living around regular people, because segregating them only makes things worse, the gap between them and "us" is getting bigger and bigger...there has always been homeless people in history..Of course now I'm not a good example myself, living in suburbia of Murica
.....down-votes coming in soon...
