#3 Yes anything that the local yutes can carry around for use when they want to borrow your mobile phone an a dark street corner late at night I'm all for it.
I guess it does give you the option of bringing out one made out of three metal hub caps and say "That isn't a knife, This is a knife"

Just as a matter of interest in other countries out there what would the police do if you were stopped and found to be carrying one of these, I'm pretty sure over here you would get a jail term

Cheap construction

Since I'm a Kilt wearing 'homicidal maniac' I carry a Sgian Dubh ( Black Knife ), which I can carry legally...provided the blade is 3 inches long or under...and is a fixed blade not a folding one. But I wouldnt carry it if I away backpacking...THEN I'd carry one of my "Bowie" type knives ( I have four ) which range from a five inch blade...up to an 11 inch blade...but...they are tucked up in my rucksack.

For "personal defence" as it were...I might have to resort to using my "Multi Purpose All Terrain Mobility assistance device ( and short portable antenna mast )"...Its a "HIKING staff...officer.

Using a cheap table knife for the blade metal will ensure that it will never hold a sharp edge but it would make a handy letter opener and novelty.
