This happened in Voss Norway, the hanglider collapsed. Below is a link to the article with a video with another view of the accident. you can also right click and select translate to english if you have chrome to read the article.

#5 Thanks for the info this could have ended really bad for this guy. According to the article it sounds though that he will be okay after his recovery...

#4 and #6 Looks like he had a backup chute deployed at 1:06.
He must have put too many G's into it!
Wow, the ground video really shows him being whipped around, surprised he was able to deploy the backup chute. Professional.

Luckily for him he landed in the lake and not on land. It would have been bad luck to break his legs back on the ground if unconscious.
If I may, this new player looks nice but is not as good as before:
- it took me 3 "page refresh" to be able to play the video until the end (buffering problem?) and my Internet is fast enough (Gigabit up/down)
- we cannot double-click on the video to make it full-screen
- controls (especially timeline) are too small for high-resolution screen to be easily grabbed with the mouse (or finger for touch-screens)
