Tricks for treats
Bears in a zoo are begging for food. Might be fake though.

Maybe this zoo completely relies on the people who come, to feed their pets ??

what a shame, there are way to many bears in such a small area, there should be like maybe only one or 2 at most. this has got to be some pathetic little third world country that doesn't know any better or even care about the animals well being. It's actually amazing that they haven't killed each other

They're speaking Mandarin - which means they're Chinese. Animals in a zoo is lame no matter how you cut it. Don't give me any bleeding heart "but it lets people learn to love the animals, then they'll want to save the rainforests!!" crap. They're in cages, against their wills, and have to put up with a constant flow of people trying to get their attention. Weak, weak, weak.

Take great magestic bears from the wild and degrade them to this embarassing tourist trap. Epic fail @ moral values.

Zoo's serve a great purpuse actually. Not like the one on the video, of course, but some zoo's are great actually.
I will use one big Zoo we have here in Sweden as an example. Iv'e visited it alot, especially when I was younger. The animals there lead a great life, there is SO much space for them. Like the wolf-part of it, the chance that you see a wolf is actually quite low, because they have so much space (forest).
Zoo's are needed to save endagered species, such as the tigers. If not for the extensive breeding-programme they have, the tigers would be so much more few overall. Alot of zoo's though, are not as great as the one we have and I can understand why some people hate Zoo's. But as I said, some of them are doing a great job in saving animals and educate the public. (Up in the tiger-area theres some really nasty information about what happens to some tigers in say, China)

That's right... best way to save the animals is to lock them up! You almost had me convinced when you suggested that we lock them up in cages to protect them from....ourselves!
It depends on what value animals hold to you - I just like knowing that they're out there, living and doing their thing. The real problem is the habitat loss and poaching which has NOTHING to do with zoos, except that animals are usually captured in the wild to populate zoos. If the value you place on animals' lives comes from visiting them in cages and assuming they "lead a great life", then get yourself the annual pass to zoo and go enjoy it!
It's in a zoo's best interest to try to convince you that animals like tigers are better off in zoos - it keeps you going back, where you you begin to let yourself believe that the animals are guests in 4-star animal hotels, served meals, allowed to exercise, are shielded from the outside world, and given free health care.
See what I just did there? I described a prison.
