A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer

It would have been great to see the guy on the right point up and say "Oh, look. Someone wrote 'gullible' on the ceiling!"

I want the full conversation! #1 If they hadn't exchanged information, the title would have lost most of its meaning. One of the best conversations is when to opponents can peacefully talk with each other without it turning into a debate or an argument without a third party setting the terms. I also believe in the Bible in flexible, not literal or static terms. And that gives me room for science as well.

It is absolutely pointless and a waste of energy trying to educate such an imbecile. There is not much to learn from a guy who says: "I choose not to believe that, because the bible says something different". Any kind of intellectual exchange is impossible with those people. Howard Conder does not even listen to Dawkins.

This was harder to watch than the fatal motorbike crashes. Talk about closed minded.

oops, sorry, I meant that video

and if you think that this excerpt is aggravating, just watch the entire show... Fortunately Dawkins is smart enough to know how to respond to singled-minded people.

When I asked my teenage son if he preferred women with prominent boobs or butts, he replied :"why not both ?!".
Why can't we believe in god(s) and all the tales and in science at the same time ? Da Vinci did and it didn't stop him from doing what he did...

Love the look on his face when hit by a question of that *cough* caliber. Religions... I'm not even going to say more in case I offend someone in chat.

well, since we started talking about eyes, did you know that cataract is third major cause of blindness, right after religion and politics (i)

After seeing as many interviews and appearances I can find on youtube. I have to conclude that Richard Dawkins is possibly the most patient individual on the planet. Always accepts questions and very thoughtfully and courteously responds with references to actual evidence and observation.

Dawkins is trying to tell this guy that animals adapt to the current climate or certain conditions at that time. eg If humans are exposed to alot of sunlight our skin goes brown because our body is putting up a self defense condition.
I believe in science more than what i do with religion simply because Religion is not proven, but in saying that i am not closed minded and like to believe in afterlife as well as science
