#1 I saw your comment before watching the clip. I thought you were referring to RC scale model emergency vehicles, especially with what #2 said,

Was mighty disappointed to see a 1:1 scale vehicle.
But given that these planes fly with kerosene-powered jet engines, it's well beyond "toy" category, and a certain level of safety measures are needed.

The way it fragmented reminds me of the latest Star Trek film (Beyond 2016).

I love how as the camera follows the falling plane it immediately picks out the owner. Sad for him of course, but awesome filming.
