#1 If you can't appreciate the beauty of these birds you are not of this world, move along. :|

I have just devised (in my mind) a terrible hummingbird trap, when the long beak slips deep into the artificial flower a clamping device underneath.....no I can't go on with it, it's just too terrible!!

Now I'm wondering if Humming bird beaks are like lizards tails, no no no that's not the way to think, stop it aaaahhhhh!!!!!!:x

And if they are do they grow back 8-)

#5 Haha, you're quite artistic ;)...
#4 JJ, I think #1, the ringmaster, is appreciating the beauty of the birds, especially judging by comments he's made over the years, I think his comment was more referring to the plastic flower and sugar water...:*<3

#1 & #6 No hummingbird gets all its food from feeders--they can't survive on
carbohydrates alone, and feeders are merely a supplement to flower
nectar. They get the protein they need from the bugs they catch,
plus possibly a few useful minerals from wildflower nectar. Sugar is the
fuel for chasing bugs, not an end but a means.
Sugar-water is something hummers need and placing feeders where
we can observe their antics and battles is good for the soul. :P
