So many different ways you can light a fire, when I'm away backpacking I have a lighter, magnifying glass from the front of a torch ( or my reading glasses ) flint and steel...with some cotton wool soaked in Vaseline to start to fire with, or I can make a fire drill pretty easily...if all else fails I'll nip down to the local pub for a bite to eat..and a pint of course ;-)

Oh dear. I don't have any jump leads. I wonder if my cigarette lighter would be any use? :D

#1 So important when backpacking alone to pack the Vaseline. :D
#2 If you are out in bear country and you have your lighter chances are you are a smoker, so better to forget the fire, let the bear eat you, much quicker than a slow lingering death through lung cancer. ;)

#6.

A damsel in distress I have spotted,
On the road up ahead to the right,
I see her attempting to fashion,
From an old HB pencil, a light,

So I skid to a halt to assist,
This sweet lady in need of me now,
Stepping from my machine with a flourish, saying...
"The Fox, at your service, Thundersnow!" <3
