Real Housewives of ISIS
From the The BBC comedy show “Revolting” .
Racist, insensitive and sexist? Or poor taste comedy? Or just comedy?
Certainly set off a few people in the UK....

#5, because people doesn't think. They see muslim women with TNT vest and find that "Friggin awesome." And when #3 sais that ISIS shouldn't be promoted in any way, they don't try to understand him. You see it in comment #4. All they see is "Please delete this friggin awesome video" and of course, they downvote him. Other, like #2 love ISIS and this kind of ad.
( I'm aware that this comment would probably have more downvotes than #3 )
To answer Austin question, for me this is just a poor taste comedy with racism on the top.
All aforesaid, is my personal opinion, without intending to offend anyone.

#12 or maybe, just maybe some of us think that making fun of victims is not funny
let me give you a simple example for simple minded, when catholic priest (for example) rapes a kid, you can make fun of the church, you can make fun of the priests, but making fun of the kid (the victim)? how funny that is?
make fun of radical islamist, radical catholics, radical whatever, who cares because every radical and ultra conservative organization should be ridiculed, but don't make fun of the victims...

First of all, I think it is pretty good humor. It was funny. With that being said, crumbled buildings in Syria are no joke. People are dying everyday over there. Not a great backdrop for the skit. I wonder how Islamic women would view this clip. Would they think it's funny? I think we need to be able to laugh at ourselves, but not as big on laughing at others who are oppressed.

#15 is making a very good point. Making fun of the victims vs making fun of the institution is where the line is. Of course the line may be crossed here and there because the victims are part of the fun making process. So the content is also what matters when making fun of something or someone. For example making fun of the catholic church may have young kids as part of the parody or whatever you may call it. The difference is that the parody would not show "disturbing" content as part of the parody, that's when it becomes tasteless and insensitive. I think we all have our own personal threshold of when humor becomes disturbing, which in part has been formed by the culture and generation we grew up in. That's just my opinion.

#14 I totally agree. You missed one of my favorites Rab C Nesbitt.
I get fed up with people who moan about any media they consume. You have a choice, if you don't like it - DON'T FECKKIN WATCH IT.

#20 For me this video using humour is warning the girls (not only of the UK) to what life is really going to be like if they are stupid enough to believe the Bollocks that they are being told in 'Chat rooms'.
But much more than that the video is showing the freedom of speech we have in our open world. You will all remember that there is little or no room for humour in the world of Isis as was very clearly demonstrated in Paris a couple of years ago in the offices of Charlie you know who. You cannot ever give in to radical beliefs or we are finished as a society. This video should definitely not be removed.

#14 making fun of the catholic church may have young kids as part of the parody, and it worked well i think and hopefully saved kids in the process, When did most people start to think there was something going on in the catholic church, when comedies and joke after joke started and all the money they had could not stop it coming to light then.

The video should stay, regardless whether it is liked to not, but just because it makes us think and talk.

in fact this is real. i mean isis militans are not muslims or they are not rebels etc. they are all actrice and actors placed by major countries to prevent the development of and control the middle east. they are all terrorist organizations founded and supported by western countries. so this is not commercial, this is fact.

#24 But if it's facts, do you have any literature to back it up?

#26 If that's the case, that definitely says something, but it's not enough evidence that those individuals were placed there as actors and actresses by western countries to manipulate the Middle East. I mean, anything is possible until proven otherwise, and I would not be surprised if the Western countries have their hands in there somehow, but I wouldn't go that far yet.
