I always, always thought it was a bad idea to do this in public.....and to those poor guys who got slapped, I hope you weren't sad for too long, consider what the rest of your married years would have been like!

#5 break or not, it shows you how crazy she is to grab someone else's musical instrument, not generally cheap and perhaps their livelihood, because she's upset with him. Why make the musicians day crappy along with everyone else's? He was just hired to play crappy music while you propose and get dumped. Who knows, the instrument may need costly tuning from the hit and subsequent drop.

I just generally dislike folks that take others down with them for no reason, other than "it's all about them."

#5 Yeah, I agree, what did the poor musician have to do with anything, except accepting a gig.....I meant "it didn't break" symbolically too, that he is still intact even though probably emotionally bruised.

What is strange is that in all these examples the girls/women waited until the whole process had been completed. I mean what did they think was going to happen when the guys started talking to them in public with a bunch of flowers, a ring box in his hands and a band of musicians strumming away behind her. Was it stunned disbelief or did they think he was going to say he didn't want to see them again and they were waiting to cheer. I would have loved to hear some of the reasons why they said no. For the guys, that must have been the lonely moment of their lives

Don't wanna ruin the illusion, but some of them are fake/staged for PR purposes ;P just so you know. And now, after knowing, you can watch again to try to spot them Body language is a big revealer.
